FEATURES OF THE HOSTING INTERNET DATA CENTRE

• Our equipment and support rooms are contained in fully fire-rated enclosures. Automatic fire protection conforms to the latest environmental protocols.
• Appropriately selected "close-control" air conditioning maintains room temperatures at 21°C within a window of 2°C. The same units maintain constant humidity conditions at 50% within a range of 5%. This control ensures a stable environment, thereby enhancing life and performance of processing and switching equipment.
• The IDC is secured by online access control systems, integrated into the overall access control system.
• The IDC is cable friendly. Each area is fitted with access flooring and a sub-floor co-ordinated power and data cable management system.
• The power system delivers Eskom power to the facility via automatically operated back-up generators, which are situated in a secure environment in the basement.
• Power supplies to the critical load components are fed via multiple parallel redundant UPS systems which are linked to a common supply.
• Environmental monitoring of the facilities is undertaken by means of water detection facilities, high temperature sensing, fire and fault conditions with response solutions being implemented automatically.
